THE 8th WORKSHOP ON INTELLIGENT IOT FOR EMPOWERING THE PEOPLE’S LIFESTYLE AND WELL-BEING

The 8th Workshop on Intelligent IoT for Empowering the People’s Lifestyle and Well-being will be organized as a workshop collocated with ACM MobiSys2024 in Tokyo, Japan. The workshop will be help in June 3rd (Note: the date is different from other workshops). In this workshop, the presentations will be invited only from the members of A3 foresight project. All the conference attendees are welcomed to attend and join the discussion.

How to participant

All workshop attendees (including members of the A3 project) need to make registrations to the MobiSys2024 (URL). In addition, A3 project members need to submit your participation plan into the A3 workshop registration form (https://forms.gle/4sbGE1aSa87oxy1W6).

Enhancing Security in IoT Development, Dr. Siqi Ma,

Abstract: The rapid development of autonomous technology brings significant benefits to users and manufacturer, including features such as remote control, autonomous operation. Given the fascinating functionalities supported by the modern software, it is imperative that the critical functionalities are correctly implemented and securely protected against malicious activities. In this talk, I will introduce different current research projects focused on the security analysis of diverse IoT systems. Three key aspects will be highlighted: 1) new security findings made by exploiting the unique functionalities developed in recent years; 2) novel security-based software assessment frameworks designed to complement existing security solutions; 3) the automated solutions aimed at addressing vulnerabilities and mitigating specific attacks.

Bio:  Dr. Siqi Ma is currently a senior lecturer (eqv. Assistant Professor) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. She is also the lead of Software Analysis and Testing Lab. Her research interest specializes in cybersecurity, including software and system security. She is an active member of IEEE and ACM and a regular contributor to national panels and leading conferences in the field. Dr. Ma has served on the program committees of top-tier security and software engineering conferences such as IEEE S&P (Oakland), Usenix Security, ICSE. She also serves as the associate editor of the top-tire journals such as IEEE Transactions on Services Computing and IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing.
