During July 2nd-4th, the 10th and final workshop was held in Busan

During July 2nd-4th, the 10th and final workshop of this project was successfully held in Busan, South Korea, bringing together researchers from China, Japan, and Korea. The event featured 2 keynote speeches and 20 presentations, covering cutting-edge research topics including IoT, wireless sensing, mobile and ubiquitous computing, LLM-driven data analytics, and integrated healthcare ecosystems.

Through vibrant discussions between presenters and audience members, participants gained new insights and fresh perspectives from rarely encountered research fields. More importantly, this project has fostered profound academic exchange and collaboration among the three countries in these domains. We were privileged to establish connections with so many fellow researchers and friends throughout this journey.

Although the project has concluded, the valuable relationships and shared knowledge will endure. We sincerely appreciate your invaluable contributions through presentations and active participation. Looking forward to reuniting with you at future international conferences and research collaborations, where we may continue these meaningful exchanges.

During May 6~8, the 9th workshop was held in Xi’an, China

During May 6~8, the 9th workshop was held in Xi’an, China. 65 members from China, Japan, and Korea participated in this workshop, which featured 5 keynote speeches and 16 presentation sessions. The latest research topics on IoT, wireless sensing, mobile and ubiquitous computing, AI-driven data analytics, and integrated healthcare ecosystems were discussed. Presenters were able to gain new insights through discussions with audience members. The wide range of topics covered in the workshop provided participants with a valuable opportunity to broaden their research perspectives by gaining fresh perspectives from fields with which they are rarely involved. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your invaluable presentation and attendance. In addition to the academic content, we learned a lot about the history and culture of Xi’an. The next workshop will be held in Korea. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

During Feb. 27-29, 2024, the 7th workshop was held in Kyoto, Japan. This time, we had an on-site gathering with 48 attendees, including 13 researchers from Korea and China. Two keynotes (1 domestic speaker and 1 overseas speaker ) were invited to present their research on wearable sensing and IoT for smart farming. Seventeen research presentations were made by professors and students from Japan, China and Korea. We had great discussions about recent challenges and advancements in technologies such as sensing, data analysis, application development, platforms, and security. We sincerely thank all the speakers and attendees for their valuable contributions. Our gratitude also goes to the organizers for their tremendous efforts in making this event successful and rewarding. The upcoming workshop will be held in Tokyo co-located with MobiSys2024 in June 2024. Looking forward to seeing you then!

2023 International Joint Workshop on Intelligent IoT Key Technology

During Sept. 20~23, 2023, the 6th workshop, entitled 2022023 International Joint Workshop on Intelligent IoT Key Technology, was held in Nanjing city, China. This is the first time members from the China, Japan and Korea could gather on-site for face-to-face communication. We have 5 keynotes and 10 oral presentation sessions. The topics ranges from wireless sensing and communication to IoT and smart home applications. From our team, we sent 13 attendees and two students, Wenhao Huang and Taiga Kume presented their work on machine learning driven sensing technology. In addition to the academic events, we also learned a lot about Nanjing city’s history and culture. A very great trip! See you next time, Nanjing.

During Aug. 22~23, the 4th workshop was held in Hakodate city, Hokkaido

During Aug. 22~23, the 4th workshop was held in Hakodate city, Hokkaido. In this time, we had a hybrid event in which there were 63 (registered) remote attendees and  25 on-site attendees including 4 from Korea.  4 keynotes and 9 research presentations were made by professors and students from Japan, China and Korea. This is the first time of this project to have in-person communication since its beginning. The visit to Future University Hakodate was also interesting and inspiring.    We sincerely thank all the speakers and attendees for their contributions.
